Honorable thanks to the distinguished visitors who provided their guidance, mentorship, and support. Special thanks to all the casts, volunteers that helped with the meals and beverages, registration,
scene set-up and tear down, and sideliners for their contributions.
We want to sincerely thank all the family, friends, and guests for attending. We hope you enjoyed the ceremonies.

Companions,
When Octavian became the first Roman Emperor in 27BC, he rejected titles such as “king” or “emperor.” Instead, the Roman Senate conferred the title of “Augustus” upon him, meaning “venerable” or “revered.” This is where the name of this month comes from, and some of these titles are still carried by the appendant and concordant bodies of Masonry. What he is most
famous for is bringing the “Pax Romana” or peace to the Greco-Roman world. I pray each of you find your own inner peace this month in this hectic world we live in.
One thing I am happy to say is that I believe we have done an excellent job in Sacramento to not let the further light of the cryptic degrees go to our heads. And by this, I mean we do not look down upon those who have not joined the Council, rather, we are constantly inviting new members into further light. See a brother in your blue lodge who you think would like to join us? Mention the York Rite bodies to him. I hope you all enjoy this August month, stay cool, and I will see you at the next stated assembly on August 9th.

FROM CHAPTER No. 3
Greetings Companions:
I hope you are all finding relief from this seasonal heat, and/or enjoying your summer vacation. At our July Convocation we welcomed two new Companions who were in attendance and presented them with their certificates. We also had two visiting Companions from Nevada, who seemed impressed by our York Rite
and the Temple. Our next Convocation is August 9th, and we would like to have even more companions in July. On August 2nd there will be a three-way reception at 228 Palm Ave in Woodland. It will be a Tiki Party / Breakfast and the Dress Code is Tiki / Hawaiian shirts. We should all try to attend and show that Sacramento York Rite supports Right Eminent Grand Commander Joseph Dongo.
The next Degrees and Orders will be in Alameda starting September 20. So, if you have any new Master Masons ask them if they have ever considered York Rite. We already have a few candidates and we are getting cars together to travel as a group and make our presence known as Sacramento York Rite. We can have a great time at it. Note that Grand Commandery has put a $30 surcharge on all new candidate petitions for a lifetime donor to the Blind Foundation. So the fees now are (Ram $35) (Cryptic $25)(KT $105) TOTAL + $165.00.
Our final Big Event will be the First Annual Sacramento York Rite “Jamaican Night”. and silent auction, which will replace our pasta feed. We will have “Jamaican Fare” but still offer pasta with a little Jamaican infusion. We only have 3 Months until the event. So we need to think about what to donate for the silent auction, this is where we are going to make money.
