December 2021
FROM COMMANDERY No. 2
Sir Knights:
As the winter holiday season fast approaches Sacramento, I am reminded of old things coming to a close and new beginnings blooming.
I look back at November, a month of being grateful and for giving thanks to all those who have helped along the way. We have had the honor of presenting the Flag of our Country at the Scottish Rite Center. A big thank you to Sir Knight Andrew Grajeda for coordinating that function with our Commandery.
Last month, our Commandery had not been able to meet due to conflicting schedules with other concordant bodies and, as a consequence, we would have struggled to achieve a quorum to properly meet in the Asylum.
Thanksgiving was spent with the family, giving thanks for all that the Great Architect of the Universe has provided us this year.
I am also grateful for having spent this year with all of the Sir Knights of this Commandery. Saturday, December 11th, will be our next Stated Conclave. I am looking forward to seeing you all as we do our Christmas Observance.
Humbly yours,
Luis J. Montero
Commander
FROM COUNCIL No. 1
Holiday Greetings, Companions of Sacramento Council No. 1:
The end of the year is upon us. As 2021 comes to a close, we will gather for our last Stated Assembly. Although our in-person meetings have been few over the last two years, what they lacked in number they more than made up in fellowship.
I want to thank all of the Companions who have supported me and our Council at the beginning and throughout the Coronavirus shutdown.
It has been my honor to serve as Illustrious Master for 2020 and 2021 and I look forward to seeing all the members of Sacramento Council No. 1 in December.
In winter, as leaves fall from the tree and compost to the Earth, their beauty is not lost but reborn in the foliage of the spring.
Sincerely,
Joseph Wallach
Illustrious Master
FROM CHAPTER No. 3
Greetings, Companions.
This being my final article as High Priest of Sacramento Chapter No. 3 of Royal Arch Masons, I would like to take a few moments to say thank you to our superb team of Officers and to all members of our Chapter.
2021 has been a very unique and challenging year. There were so many things we wanted to accomplish but had to take a step back, adapt, regroup and exercise patience, but I believe we were able to set the tone for a continuously booming and enduring Chapter.
I trust that the soon-to-be High Priest, Companion Joseph Wallach, and his team of Officers, will have your support to lead our Chapter into the future.
In closing, Companions, I just wanted to say that I am eternally grateful for having the opportunity to serve you. This has been without a doubt one of the greatest honors in my Masonic Journey.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Francisco Marques
High Priest
